Lobo Cancer Challenge
2017 - 2021
Once again this year, the Lobo Cancer Challenge is continuing to meet our shared challenge of a global pandemic by hosting a virtual event to be held on Saturday, September 25, 2021.
Far from seeing this as a limitation, let’s continue to chart a new course together. You can match the Challenge you would have chosen for an in-person event: cycling, running or walking. A virtual event also lets you explore creative ideas for Challenges, like volunteering or arts and crafts. Go for a hike, or go for a nature walk. Choose a favorite activity, and perhaps dedicate a month or a set time of performing your activity as your Challenge. Creative challenge choices may be completed before September 25, 2021, if needed.
To pull together in meeting the challenges of this time, we are asking a suggested fundraising pledge of $100 instead of participants committing to a fundraising minimum. The registration fee is $40, which includes an official T-shirt and dedication bib, and helps to cover the cost of the event.
We plan on creating a fun and interactive 2021 Lobo Cancer Challenge, keeping several of the same perks as in years past, along with new ideas and support. Fundraising Incentives include your choice of an official 2021 Lobo Cancer Challenge bike jersey or quarter zip pullover for raising $1,000, and a buff for raising $250. We will also recognize the Top Three Fundraising Teams and Individuals on the weekend of the Challenge.
Registering for the Lobo Cancer Challenge is simple and mobile-friendly. Returning participants may use their previous login to begin the process.
Upon registration, Challengers are provided with their own web page to accept donations online or by mobile device. Share the page with others. You may customize it with your own URL: lobocancerchallenge.org/participant/myname. Add a photo and personal story, or use what we’ve prepared for you. When you log into the site, visit your page to share it, change the settings such as your custom page link, or use the dashboard to manage your fundraising. You may set fundraising milestones or offer incentives to your donors. For example, last year, a Challenger made growing out their long hair a fun incentive for their donors.
We encourage you to have fun and challenge yourself for the 2021 Lobo Cancer Challenge. Please take photos or videos of yourself in progress and completing your Challenge and share them with us on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter. Use the hashtags #LoboCancerChallenge and #UniteAgainstCancer.
