On September 14, Yvonne and I are riding in the Lobo Cancer Challenge again this year (details below). Last year, you helped us raise enough money that we were in the top 10 of individual fundraisers!
We are riding for family members and friends. My mother was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer over 10 years ago and thanks to the care she received, she is going strong (knock on wood). My mother-in-law is currently being treated for Stage 4 lymphoma at the incredible UNM Comprehensive Cancer Center, where her team is just amazing, but her fight is an uphill battle every day. Two of our friends, one in his thirties, the other in his fourties, are also engaged in a struggle to beat this disease. And still others are recovering from treatment or in remission. Cancer affects us all, so we are “all in” to fight cancer together.
ALL of the funds raised by the Challenge — 100% — support cancer patient care, research, community outreach, and education and training at The University of New Mexico Comprehensive Cancer Center.
I truly appreciate your support,
