We understand that not everyone can ride, run or walk in our fundraising event in Albuquerque on September 14, but you can still join as a Virtual Challenger! Like our Riders, Runners and Walkers, Virtual Challengers also have their own online fundraising page, are eligible for fundraising incentives, and may join a team. Virtual Challengers can be anyone: family or friends living outside of New Mexico, volunteers, or local supporters of the UNM Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Virtual Challengers do not need to pay the registration fee. There is not a fundraising minimum — however, this gives you a chance to set your own target, challenge yourself and motivate your donors to help you reach your goal!
When you register as a Virtual Challenger, you get access to your own online fundraising page. Set up a fundraising goal of your choice, and customize your personal page to share with others. Like everyone who registers with the Lobo Cancer Challenge, a Virtual Challenger can choose from among 19 designated funds to support cancer patient care, research, community outreach, and education and training at the UNM Cancer Center.
We encourage you to use your online page to tell others why fighting cancer means something to you, and why you chose the program you want to support. Your supporters can donate to your cause right on your page.
A Virtual Challenger may tie their fundraising to an activity or event of their choice. Is there something you already do that you love, where you could dedicate an activity for each donation? Or, if it is something you do on a regular basis, how about dedicating a month of activities to your fundraising Challenge?
100% of the funds you raise stay right here in our state to support cancer patient care, research, community outreach, and education and training at the UNM Comprehensive Cancer Center.
There are instructions for setting up your page in the Fundraising Page Guide at the Fundraising Tips & Tools page. Check out the 75 FUNdraising ideas at the link!
