Bike Valet/Bag Check

  • Take bags from participants & tag them, give receipt
  • Take bikes from participants & tag them, give receipt
  • Return bags and bikes to participants with proper receipt and ID
  • Keep bike and bag valet area neat and organized

Check-In

  • Greet registered participants
  • Welcome them to event
  • Open their account on computer
  • Communicate participant's information to runners
  • Answer event-related questions
  • Give packet to participant (includes bib, wristband, jersey, goodies, incentives, etc…)

Course Marshal

  • Go to assigned post on course
  • Direct participants where to go
  • Make participants aware of danger areas (i.e. blind curve, RR tracks, steep descent, etc)
  • Yell words of encouragement
  • DO NOT DIRECT TRAFFIC

Finish Line

  • Cheer for participants as they finish
  • Hand out cowbells
  • Make signs for participants
  • Create atmosphere of celebration and encouragement

Greeters

  • Stand outside Reg/PPU tent and welcome participants
  • Manage flow of lines
  • Direct participants to open lanes
  • Answer event-related questions

Hydration Team + Stair Challenge Water Stations

  • Set up table
  • Set up water jugs
  • Set up cups and fill with water
  • Refill jugs with water and ice
  • Hand out water

Info Booth

  • Stand in Info Booth
  • Answer event-related questions
  • Set up Lost & Found

KidsZone

  • Check-in kids at entrance and get parent's signature
  • Monitor kids play areas (i.e. bouncy house)
  • Setup kids games
  • Watch that kids don't leave KidsZone without their parents/guardians

Registration

  • Register new participants
  • Setup accounts and take down their information
  • Collect form of payment for reg fee
  • Give packet to participant (includes bib, wristband, jersey, goodies, incentives, etc…)
  • Answer event-related questions

Runners

  • Create packets for participants as they check-in
  • Stuff bags with bib, wristband, jersey, incentives, etc as directed

Staging

  • Direct participants to start line
  • Hold signs for corrals (i.e. 100 milers, 50 milers, etc)
  • Direct participants to correct corrals
  • Hold riders at start line until Technical Director requests start

Venue Setup

  • Setting up tables and chairs
  • Setting up fence
  • Loading in event equipment (i.e. food, sound gear, registration product, merchandise, tents, etc…)
  • Hanging banners
  • Setting up Pop-Up tents
  • Setting sand bags
  • Assisting vendors with load in
  • Set out trash cans with liners
