The East Mountain Cycle Club (EMC2 and yes it is a play on E=mc squared) is an informal group of cyclists (primarily bicycles, but some of us motorcycle too) living in the greater Edgewood area. We originally started gathering to get in some miles, and for companionship on the long open roads east of the Sandia Mountains. Occasionally we even come down from our high prairie solitude to peddle in less rarefied air. This year will be our first to participate in the Lobo Cancer Challenge (LCC), so we are starting off conservatively with the 25 mile route.
There are only a few of us, so we are more than happy to add folks to our ranks. If you are interested in participating with us in the LCC, click on the [Join Team] button in the upper right hand of this page. If you have other questions, drop our LCC team lead an e-mail (firstname.lastname@example.org).
If you are ready to contribute, donations are made through individuals pages, so pick your favorite team member from the roster in the upper right of this page and click on their name. When their page comes up, click on the [Donate Now] button at the upper right of that page. We appreciate your willingness to help by giving to this most worthwhile cause.
We joined the Lobo Cancer Challenge to fight cancer together. We're committed to raising funds to help people facing cancer in our community. Every dollar we raise — 100 percent of it! — goes to cancer research and cancer patient care at The University of New Mexico Comprehensive Cancer Center.
