Once again please join me in the Lobo Cancer Challenge. We are an incredible community of riders, runners, walkers and virtual challengers who are passionate about fighting cancer. Last year with your help I was able to raise over $4000 for this great cause! Thank you for your contributions!
As many of you know, I lost my wife Bernice to cancer almost 6 years ago, and not a moment goes by that my son, daughter and I don't think about her and how much we hate this disease. A year ago in August, I lost an uncle to cancer and it brought back so many painful memories as I watched him cling to the last couple of days of his life. Also last year, I had two of my fellow co-workers diagnosed with cancer and fortunately they are both doing well. We know this disease is not waiting around on us so we are striving to raise funds to provide more reasearch in hopes that a cure is found soon.
Please help us in this fight. Every single dollar helps us towards our fundraising goal, and it stays right here to help people in New Mexico.
ALL of the funds raised by the Challenge — 100% — support cancer patient care, research, community outreach, and education and training at The University of New Mexico Comprehensive Cancer Center.
This year, I persuaded my son, and daughter to join me in the ride. My son has not ridden a bicycle since he was a kid and my daughter hasn't ridden in a year, but they both committed to this ride and it makes me proud to have my son and daughter by my side as we ride in memory of those lost to cancer and in support of those fighting cancer. We will be joined by our friend Justin and I encourage all of you to support us either in donating or becoming part of our team. If you're interested in joining the team, please contact me so I can give you details. My team and I are commited to a 25 mile bicycle ride to be held on September 14, 2019. Cancer affects us all, so we are “all in” to fight cancer together.
I truly appreciate your support!
