Dear Friends and Family,
I’m fighting cancer in our community by participating in the Lobo Cancer Challenge on September 14th. I’m doing this to help the people in our community who face cancer and to honor my father Ronnie O. Garcia who bravely fought cancer until he passed away in November 2017.
Please help me by contributing whatever amount that you can. Every dollar you donate to my Challenge helps me to my goal. 100% of the funds raised by the Challenge support cancer patient care or leading research at the UNM Comprehensive Cancer Center. My dad was an avid Lobo fan and proud UNM alumni and this is the very least that I can do to honor him and to help those out facing cancer.
The cancer statistics are staggering: nearly one in two men and more than one in three women in the United States can expect to receive a cancer diagnosis in his or her lifetime.
The UNM Comprehensive Cancer Center is the only cancer center in our state with designation from the National Cancer Institute. It conducts research focused on the cancers that affect New Mexicans most. It translates that research into the latest and most advanced treatments and makes them available to everyone in New Mexico.
Search for my name on this page at LoboCancerChallenge.org where you may help me fight cancer by donating online.
Thank you for your support!
Ronnie J. Garcia
